Polaroid iM1836 become the first digital camera which combines Google’s Android operating system with an interchangeable lens. This week at international consumer Electronic show (CES 2013) Polaroid announced a new 18 megapixel Polaroid iM1836 camera with 10-30 mm optical zoom lens also accepts micro Four Thirds system lenses with camera using the accompanying adaptor.
Polaroid iM1836 running on Android 4.1 Jellybean with full access of Google play store. You can add apps like flicker and Photoshop to edits photos using the interchangeable lenses. This camera has a pop up flash, Panorama mode, automatic face detection and auto face exposure. The camera has a 3.5 inch touchscreen LCD display with all the standard Android buttons, including Home, Back, Menu and recent Apps, are placed to the side of the display. This camera can records 1080p Full HD video on go.
About connectivity of this android camera, it has It has Built in Peer 2 Peer WiFi to share images and videos from the camera androids apps allow users to upload and share via social media. It has Built-in Bluetooth connectivity also which pairs the camera with any Bluetooth-enabled device to upload images and video when Wi-Fi isn’t available. It has no 3G/4G connectivity. It has 3.5mm audio jack, with HDMI. Till now we don’t have any information about processor and RAM of Polaroid iM1836 camera.
Polaroid iM 1836 is expected to arrive in the US in Q1 2013 but Europe has to wait little longer. the expected retail price of Polaroid iM 1836 will be 399$.
