Barnes and Noble have announced that it is slash the price of entire line of e-readers and tablets in UK market. The company says that these prices are valid for limited period. The reason behind the price drop will be arrival of an iPad mini and Kindle Fire 2 in UK market. In addition to the discounts, B&N is also donating 1,000 of its NOOK Simple Touch e-Readers to Beanstalk.


The Nook Tablets 8 GB version is now available for £129, Down from £159 and Nook HD+ 16GB version is available for £179, down from £229. Book Simple touch is available for £29, down from £79. Nook Simple Touch GlowLight is available £69, down from £109.

Here is a look at the key specs of Nook tablets:

  • Nook HD: 7-Inch 1440x900p display, 1.3GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4470 processor, 1GB RAM, and microSD card slot.
  • Nook HD+: 9-inch 1920x1280p display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot.

There are rumors that Google, Amazon, and Apple will come in UK market, and Barnes & Noble offer device in attractive price tags and want to sale more units.
