Lava Iris N501 is the new Android device launched by Lava, and it comes with the price tag of Rs. 9,999. Micromax, which is known to be the toughest competitor of Lava, is already tasting success with its Micromax A110 smartphone, which even has been crowned as the best cheap Android smartphone till date. So the Lava Iris N501 will have to face a tough competition to attract the customers.

Lava Iris N501 comes with 5.0-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display. So it’s better to call it ‘Phablet’ (Phone + Tablet). It is Android smartphone and runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version. 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM in the smartphone boost it for smooth gameplay and multitasking.

 Lava Iris N501 is a dual-SIM smartphone and supports ‘GSM+GSM’ network. Primary Camera in the smartphone is 5MP with features like autofocus and LED Flash. The front-facing camera is of 0.3MP. 4GB is internal memory that you can expand up to 32GB via microSD card. The 2,300 mAh battery provides a talktime of up to 7.8 hours. To provide the Wireless connectivity the features like WiFi, Bluetooth are also part of feature-set of Lava Iris N501.
