3DMark, the well-known name in benchmarking program for gaming has now hit Android.  It packs cross-platform support and is compatible with smartphones and tablets as well.  It let you compete and compare your gaming scores with other device users that run on Android, iOS, Windows, and Windows RT.

Android users will have to go through two benchmarking test: Ice Storm and Ice Storm Extreme.  Ice Strom test emphasizes on both GPU and CPU performance of your Android device in two graphic tests.  On the other hand Ice Storm Extreme is supposed to meant only for latest generation of Android devices. It takes the rendering resolution of your device to a whooping 1080p adding high quality textures and other graphical effects.

Anandtech took graphic tests with the app which produced amazing results.  Nexus 4 took the game away in both the tests. In the first test Nexus 4 was ranked number one with 50.7 frames per second and in the second test, Nexus 4 yet again attained pinnacle with 48.9 frames per second.

In the physics tests, which are formulated to strain the CPU of your device, HTC One got the first position while Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 was not much far behind.
